World Diabetes Day 2025 draws global attention to the growing burden of diabetes and the need for environments that support prevention, early detection and lifelong well being. With more than eleven million Nigerians living with diabetes, workplaces play a significant role in shaping daily food choices, stress patterns and access to screening.

This year’s focus on Diabetes and the Workplace aligns strongly with NHED’s ongoing advocacy for healthier food environments. Clear front of pack labelling, reduced sodium and sugar intake and the elimination of industrial trans fats remain essential strategies for helping people live well with diabetes at every stage of life.
