Building on our longstanding commitment to health system strengthening, the Network for Health Equity and Development (NHED) has been selected to spearhead end-user support for AIM250 (Accelerated Implementation Methodology 250), an innovative performance management solution developed by Vantage Health Technologies (VHT). As a leader in the deployment of cutting-edge solutions, VHT is dedicated to enhancing both programmatic and individual workforce performance, particularly in the health sector.
In partnership with VHT, NHED is tasked with ensuring the swift and seamless adoption and compliance of the AIM250 solution technology across Nigeria. This critical support extends to the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria (IHVN), the Principal Recipient (PR) of the Global Fund N-THRIP Grant (GC7), which covers the 2024–2026 grant period. In collaboration with IHVN, NHED is providing technical assistance to Sub-Recipients (SRs) across Nigeria’s 36 states, including the FCT, to bolster TB and HIV program performance.
The AIM250 project offers two core solutions designed to strengthen the capabilities of staff, managers, and leaders at IHVN and its SRs. These solutions are strategically aligned with individual key performance indicators (KPIs) and grant objectives, to optimize performance across Global Fund-supported TB/HIV programs.
NHED, in collaboration with Vantage Technologies, successfully led the onboarding workshop for IHVN SMEs and key stakeholders—an essential step for the solution’s full implementation. The AIM250 Individual Performance solution is set for full release in September 2024.
Since its launch in March 2024, the AIM250 project has made significant strides. With NHED’s support, the Test Phase for Individual Performance was completed successfully, involving users from 10 Sub-Recipients across 10 states. During this phase, participants tested data capture tools, key indicators, and workflow processes.
As of June 2024, the AIM250 project recorded a 94% weekly compliance rate, with three SRs consistently exceeding 80% compliance over a four-week period. Monthly compliance reached 71%, with six SRs surpassing 80% compliance over three months, indicating strong early engagement with the solution.
Key lessons from the Test Phase have been integrated into the full deployment strategy, including refinements to individual targets and indicators to ensure a better understanding and improved compliance among users. These refinements are critical as the program moves into its full implementation phase.
In preparation for the nationwide rollout, NHED, alongside Vantage Health Technologies, facilitated an onboarding workshop for IHVN Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and key stakeholders. This workshop was pivotal in ensuring the successful deployment of AIM250 solution, with full release planned for September 2024.
NHED remains at the forefront of driving innovation in health system strengthening. The national rollout of AIM250 solution is expected to significantly enhance the performance of TB and HIV programs across Nigeria, accelerating progress towards achieving the ambitious goals of the Global Fund N-THRIP Grant.
