NHED is committed to addressing the critical challenges faced by Borno’s IDP camps, including overcrowding, limited healthcare access, and heightened malaria risks. We are actively working across 10 IDP camps to implement comprehensive strategies, including scaling up malaria control, strengthening community health, and enhancing emergency response efforts.
Under the leadership of Dr. Shehu Sule and Project Lead Dr. Jerome Mafeni, our dedicated team is on the frontlines, delivering vital anti-malaria services to flood-affected communities, particularly in Teacher’s IDP Camp. Our mission is to ensure that life-saving interventions reach those who need them most during these challenging times.
Additionally, Dr. Shehu Sule, alongside the NHED-IMPACT Team, recently visited the Emergency Operations Center to express solidarity with communities impacted by the Maiduguri flood disaster. We stand with the affected families and are committed to supporting their recovery efforts.
Together, we are focused on safeguarding the health and well-being of Borno’s resilient communities.
