NHED and its consortium partners Gombe’s ANRiN Project delivery with a 3-day Pre-implementation Training and Roll-out of ANRiN Basic Package of Nutrition Services and service delivery model. The first phase of the event took place at the esteemed Lelah Suites Gombe; where opening keynote remarks were presented by members of the consortium and invited guests present.
A brief introduction to the ANRiN Project and its objectives was delivered by the National Programme Manager (NHED-ANRiN), which led to a robust lecture on the project area & stakeholders, ANRiN basic package of nutrition services, and service delivery model for ANRiN by the State Programme Manager & ANRiN Nutrition Specialist respectively [pictures below]
Leading to the final phase of the event, which was the field beneficiary enrolment training exercises for the Community Health Influencers & Promoters (CHIPs) in Shamaki Ward of Gombe LGA; the CHIPs took part in a practical training session of the use of the ANRiN Mobile app for beneficiary enrolment. This practical training session was facilitated by both the State NHED Team and its consortium partners. At midday, the CHIPs, their Supervisors, and consortium members set out on field training enrollment exercises to ensure the CHIP had proper hands-on experience while using the app.
On the final day of the roll-out activities, the consortium managers & the CHIPs had a debrief/feedback session; which allowed room for the CHIPs to share their experience and get answers to all questions raised.
