WHAT WE DO

To offer health research services that informs policy to government, individuals, local & international organisations that will promote a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

To serve as an advisory body and consultant to government, non-governmental organisations and individuals on vital health issues and provide guidelines for the organisational set-up and functioning of health education units at the state, district and other levels.

To provide community health & development programmes that will contribute to the improvement of health outcomes and to render technical help to official and non-official agencies engaged in health education work and coordinate their programmes.

To serve as an advocate for policies geared towards health equity and development using credible evidence. To promote, in cooperation with other specialized agencies where necessary, the improvement of nutrition, housing, sanitation, recreation, economic or working conditions, and other aspects of environmental hygiene.

To own institutions such as public health training centres, hospital, Clinics, maternity homes, radiographic, diagnostic and X-ray centres etc. for training key health and community welfare workers, health care personnel & administrators.

To be an institution that produces public health practitioners of international repute in health care services, management and development through organizing seminars, workshops, conferences and trainings.
